Alongside Hope Sunday

Alongside Hope is the Anglican Church of Canada’s global outreach.

The service on September 27 will be a usual service, but will include a special focus on our work through Alongside Hope.

You've likely seen the St. Luke's Hospital insert in our bulletin over recent months. That's our current focus within Alongside Hope: solar panels for St. Luke's in Nablus, in the West Bank. St. Luke's serves a population of about 455,000 people, including 57 marginalized villages and four nearby refugee camps. But unreliable and costly power sources make health care a challenge during the best of times, or a crisis during the worst of times.

Donations to Alongside Hope are always welcome. Gifts received between now and October 18 will be gathered and presented, along with other churches in the diocese, at our annual gathering of Synod on October 23.

Together, we are responding to the Gospel by working toward a truly just, healthy, and peaceful world.
